Littlewoods history stretches over eighty years. Starting off with the betting sector with Littlewoods Pools in 1923, its founder Sir John Moores diversified the company into the UK home shopping sector in the early 1930's.
In 1937 the first Littlewoods store opened in Blackpool. Their successive introduction led to the spread of Littlewood shops throughout the country, many securing valuable high street locations in towns and cities across the UK.
In 2002 Littlewoods plc was bought from the Moores family by LW Investments Ltd.
The online Littlewoods shop was launched in 2000 and has been providing customers with 24 hours, 7 day a week access to their product range.
