GAME in the UK & Eire
In the UK & Eire, GAME operates over 400 stores, including concessions within Debenhams, Hamley's, Selfridges and Fenwick department stores.
After the completion of the repositioning project in 2006, our customers can now identify us with a strong brand and they know that they will receive a level of quality and enjoyment in their GAME shopping experience, no matter which store they visit. We pride ourselves on our customer focused policies, which comprise of: *
Should you wish to exchange your purchases for anything else in store you can do so at any GAME store within 28 days of purchase. This is provided that the product in question is unused and has either the GAME product seal or original manufacturers seal still intact.
- Let Us Reward You – The programme that rewards your loyalty, where you can earn points on purchases, get exclusive offers and other benefits.
- Played It? Trade It! – Save money when you trade in your Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, DS Lite, PSP or Game Boy Advance games against anything in-store.

- Call 0871 200 3068 – For any information on the way we do things or just to let us know what you think.
*Terms and conditions apply, ask in store for details.
We believe that these policies differentiate us from our competitors, and we can only do this when we give our staff the tools to ensure that we deliver the very best experience to our customers. It is the dedication of our staff that ensure we can deliver on our promises. This very experience is being constantly updated and refreshed in-store. Following on from our repositioning in 2006, most of our stores have a new, light and friendlier look, utilising our new colour palette.
Our customers are the highest priority for us, which is why we place great importance on our Reward Card scheme. We launched our first loyalty programme in 1997 and the GAME Reward card was launched in 1999. The scheme has become a key communication and marketing tool for the company. We now have over 6 million customers registered, and we average around 15,000 new members each week.
The programme has a joining fee of £3 (€4 ROI) and for every £1 (€1 ROI) spent, customers receive 10 points which equates to 2.5%, one of the highest returns on the High street. Customers can earn points, both in-store and on-line, in addition to exclusive offers, double points on pre-order and purchase with bonus points on some products. Customers redeem these points instantly.
PLAYSTATION®3 was launched in the PAL territories including the UK on 23rd March 2007 and is now available at GAME at a price of £424.99.
Responding to retail and consumer demand, initially only the 60GB model has been made available, with the 20GB model to follow later in the year dependent on demand.
The launch line-up consisted of over 30 game titles for PS3, including eagerly awaited titles published by SCEE such as Resistance: Fall of Man™, MotorStorm™, Genji™: Days of the Blade, Formula One Championship Edition and Ridge Racer™ 7. An exceptional range of titles in every genre was also available at launch from the world’s leading third party publishers, including Electronic Arts, Activision, Namco Bandai, Sega, Take 2, Ubisoft, Vivendi Universal, and Sony Online Entertainment.
PlayStation is a registered trade mark and PS3 is a trademark of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. All other trademarks are property of their respective owners.

GAME Digital
The company was established to ensure that the GAME brand is represented within new media, through our e-commerce site, www.GAME.co.uk. Our new media arm is a vital part of the business as it allows us to provide our customers with the facility to shop anywhere, any time. Our on-line store now interprets the look and feel of our new look stores for the web and has many new features including international ordering. Service to our customer continues to be our number one priority, and this is still the case on the web as we continually aim to make our site helpful, efficient, informative and approachable. We aim to bring our customer service from the stores onto the web.
GAME Scandinavia www.game.se
The Group first entered the Swedish market in February 1999, and since purchased further stores in 2001. In 2004 we opened our first stores in Denmark. The stores in Scandinavia now look very similar to those in the UK & Eire, the only difference being that all materials are written in Swedish or Danish. We now have over 50 stores in Scandinavia, with a dedicated team at our Head Office in Upplands Vasby. The company now operates the largest specialist retail chain of computer software and video games in Sweden, and last year we completed a significant expansion programme in this territory.
CentroMAIL in Spain www.centromail.es
In June 2001 we purchased CentroMAIL, Spain’s leading specialist retailer of computer software and video games, which at the time had around 70 stores. The chain now has over 140 stores, 102 of which are owned with the rest being franchised. In addition the chain also has mail order and web ordering, and an on-line games service. In the next few months we will be introducing successful marketing and merchandising tools from the UK and interpreting them for this territory, therefore continuing to improve our overall performance.
ScoreGAME France www.scoregames.fr
Expanding the Group over the past few years led to the acquisition of ScoreGAME in October 2001 and Addon in early 2005. ScoreGAME is France’s second largest specialist retailer of computer software and video games, and we now have over 100 stores, including the flagship in Gare St. Lazare, Paris. This is against the 37 when we bought the chain, and is in market which is now Europe’s third largest, after the UK and Germany. In the last couple of years we re-modelled and updated the look of most of the stores, and we've been utilising the pre-owned scheme already present in stores, and improving our IT infrastructure.
GAME Portugal
In March 2006 we opened our first store in the Rio Sul Shopping centre in Portugal. A completely new territory for GAME, the store incorporates the same look and feel of the stores in the UK and Eire, except that all materials are written in Portugese. With the support of a dedicated team at our Spanish Headquarters this store will help us increase our performance and enhance the GAME brand throughout Europe.
GAME Australia
On the 19th September GAME acquired The Games Wizards (TGW). TGW is a specialist retailer of video and pc games based in Sydney and operating in the Australian market. The acquisition of The Games Wizards provides the group with an established business and a low cost entry to this important market. We will provide financial resources and expertise for a controlled store rollout incorporating a consumer offer from GAME.
